Some good news, courtesy of the Boston Globe:
Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was named a first-teamer on the NBA's All-Defensive team today, joining Kobe Bryant (G), LeBron James (F), Gerald Wallace (F), and Dwight Howard (C). Rondo, who makes the team for the first time, received 23 first-place votes, second only to Howard's 28. The team is voted on by the coaches.
I think we can all agree that Rondo deserves this honor. His prowess on the defensive end was prevalent all season. It's important to note that the team is voted on by the coaches, as it means Rondo's garnering more respect around the league. Let's hope he continues to earn this honor throughout the remainder of the postseason.
