In case you've been stressing out over the idea of Kevin Garnett missing tomorrow night's Game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a right mid-foot strain, allow me to silence your concerns.
KG practices, said he's ready for Friday - The Boston Globe
Kevin Garnett practiced Thursday with the Celtics, a stunning development considering coach Doc Rivers said Wednesday that he would be out. But his mid-foot strain is mending and he convinced Rivers to practice.
"He said he didn't feel a lot of pain," Rivers said. "Kevin was a surprise. I really didn't want him to go much today. But he was moving so well, I just let him go."
Kendrick Perkins also practiced and, despite him sporting a a rubber sleeve on his right knee, he should be ready for Game 3.
In other news:
- Danny Ainge was fined $25,000 for his towel throwing incident. Can we all just move on now?
- The All-NBA teams were announced today and no Celtic made any of the squads. If you're interested, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, and Dwyane Wade comprised the first team. Rondo received 47 votes, Pierce garnered six votes, and KG took home a single vote.
