Split!

I can't decide who should get the MVP for this game.  Ray set a Finals record with 8 three pointers and Rondo messed around and got a triple double.  What do you say we just SPLIT the vote?  Oh yeah, and we split the 2 games in L.A.  Nice.
  • Ray Allen didn't play much in the first game.  He made up for lost time in game 2.  My goodness that man's jumper is beautiful.
  • Rajon Rondo messed around and got a triple double... in the Finals.  Love it.
  • I was worried in the first half because it was basically Ray and Rondo carrying us.  Nothing out of Pierce and less than nothing out of KG.
  • I didn't think it was possible for Kevin Garnett to play worse than he did in the first game.  Boy was I wrong.  He was out of place all night and had no touch, no lift, no chance.  But Doc stuck with him and he did some good things in the last 5 minutes.
  • Speaking of bad games, Shelden Williams might have had the worst 4 minutes in recent Finals memory.  Probably his last 4 minutes in the Finals too.
  • Once again, fouls were a big story line.
  • Nate gave us a nice spark and gave Rondo a timely break.  If he has any more big games, I'm gonna have to petition the Celtics to give him that $1M bonus he missed out on.
  • Got some big contributions from Sheed and Big Baby too.  Nice work by the bench.
  • Another big game from Pau and a very big game from "we lost in 08 because we didn't have" Bynum.
  • Thankfully Kobe came up short in the clutch.  That won't happen too often.
  • The play of the game?  That would be Doc running on the court to call that time out with under 2 min. left.  Hilarious.
  • It wasn't pretty (up 14 then losing the lead) but I'll take the win and the split.  Back to Boston!
