In case you missed it, the Celtics will be playing a real, live (exhibition) basketball game this coming Friday. For the first time since Summer League in July, we can watch them play ball. It is even on TV if you have access to NBA TV. Here's some details.

The four-game tour tips off on Oct. 5 when the 17-time NBA Champion Boston Celtics play five-time Turkish Champions Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul at the newly opened, state-of-the-art Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Boston Celtics will tip off the preseason when they visit Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul next Friday, a game you’ll be able to catch on NBA TV at 2 p.m. ET.

But wait, there's more!

Boston, Fenerbahce open NBA Europe Live 2012 in Istanbul! - Latest - Welcome to EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL

Istanbul is the opening stop of a four-city tour with games also scheduled for Berlin and Milan as part of NBA Europe Live 2012 presented by BBVA. Following the game in Istanbul, the Celtics will travel to Milan, Italy, where they will play EA7 Emporio Armani at the Mediolanum Forum on Oct. 7.

Obviously this is going to be preseason stuff. Expect to see a deep rotation and some sloppy play. But it will be our first look at guys like Courtney Lee, Jason Terry, and Darko. Not to mention a return to action for Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox. Very exciting stuff if you ask me.

Basketball is here folks. (Don't forget to renew your NBA League Pass if you get that every year like me.)
