I wasn't aware that Rondo got hurt but he's a late scratch from tonight's game.
The Celtics will have to try to get back on the winning track without starting point guard Rajon Rondo, who will miss tonight's game with a strained quadriceps. Rondo was apparently injured trying to take a charge Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers but he managed to finish the game.
We don't even have Leandro Barbosa to be our backup point, so look for Courtney Lee to get the start and a lot of Jason Terry handling the rock with the 2nd unit.
Rondo suffered the injury against the Clippers. He did some shooting this morning, but C's prepped for tonight without him.— Steve Bulpett (@SteveBHoop) December 30, 2012
Rondo out tonight with bruised right hip and upper thigh. Rivers says it's not serious and that he could play tomorrow.— Steve Bulpett (@SteveBHoop) December 30, 2012
