As reported earlier, the Celtics are interested in center Chris Kaman. Trading for him might be difficult though, so the Celtics might have to wait and see if he's bought out.
Wilcox: 'Doctors say I'm done for the year'
There are not a lot of big men available via trade that the C's have interest in, or the means by which to add them. One possibility is for a big man like New Orleans' Chris Kaman to get a buy-out after the Hornets exhaust all trade possibilities leading up to tomorrow's 3 p.m. deadline. If they can't trade him, they're more likely to pursue a buy-out which would allow the Celtics to add him to their roster.
Technically, according to the Trade Machine the Celtics could offer up O'Neal, Wilcox, and Dooling, plus whatever pick that would sweeten the deal enough to make the league run Hornets pull the trigger. However, according to Steve Bulpettt that might not necessarily be true.
Chill on the Chris Kaman talk. He'd cost the Celts one of the Big 3 to make the $ work. May be a FA possibility, but only at right price.

Won't argue w/trade checker, but people involved say major player would have to be included. May have to do w/contract clauses.

So it might be a wait-and-see game on Kaman.
