The Cetlics need a big man and have stated that they'll try to add one. That means someone has to be dropped from the roster. That's not always an easy thing to figure out. I mean the team could cut Wilcox who will miss the rest of the season, but then (I think) they would waive any bird rights to re-sign him next year if they wanted to. Jermaine O'Neal would be another candidate if he can't play again this year, but if he could he'd be a good option to keep around.
So nobody would be terribly surprised to see someone else on the roster waived. Chief among them might be Marquis Daniels.
Agent Mark Bartelstein identifiedcandidates of his that could be bought out next week as Boston's Marquis Daniels and Wizards' Brian Cook.

Even though the deadline has come and gone, there's still room for some roster changes of the minor variety. Stay tuned.
