Nothing really important to report this morning, but a number of little bits of news that might interest you.
The Celtics will hold their press conference at 10:00 AM this morning to announce their signings. No word yet on any last minute sign-and-trades, though Gary Washburn calls that option unlikely.

There is little chance the Celtics can work out a sign-and-trade with the Mavericks for Jason Terry unless the Celtics are willing to part with a combination of young assets such as JaJuan Johnson, Moore, or perhaps Mickael Pietrus or Keyon Dooling. The Celtics would love to facilitate a sign-and-trade to free up their mid-level exception to sign shooting guard Courtney Lee.
I'm not sure I agree with that assessment. I'd give up Dooling or Pietrus in a heartbeat to free up the MLE if Dallas would take either one. But Dallas would have to be willing to play, so maybe there's no interest there.
Sounds like the Celtics would be interested in Dahntay Jones if he's bought out in Dallas.
Jamar Smith's agent tweeted the following - gotta think this is a camp invite at best.

Also, Chad Ford gives the Celtics an A for their offseason (that is far from over yet).

Here's what's impressive about Ainge's moves the past few years. He has maintained his veteran core while still putting in place a group of young players -- Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Green, Sullinger and Melo -- that could become the core of the future.
Few teams have the opportunity and ability to eat their cake and have it too. Ainge has found a way.
More updates as they become available.
