Yeah, Baby! I'm excited to have Bass back, if only because he was the best available big man that we can afford. Danny's off-season checklist: Pick up some front court talent in the draft... check. Sign KG... check. Bring in the best free agent available for the MLE... check. Now, on to keeping Ray in Green. Let's get it done.
He and the club agreed on a three-year deal today, with Bass pegging the overall figure at $20 million. As for how that will be broken down, the power forward said, “It’s three years for $20 million. That’s all I know.” Bass opted out of the $4.25 million final year of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent, and he sifted through the advances from around the NBA. “We had interest from some other teams, but Boston is where I wanted to be at the end of the day, so that’s where I’m at,” he said.
