Per league sources, Mike Zarren has removed himself from consideration for the 76ers GM job and will stay with Celtics.

Per Paul Flannery of WEEI, assistant GM Mike Zarren has taken himself out of the 76ers GM pool and will continue to be Danny's right hand man. By all indications, he was a serious candidate for the position. Whether you believe in the Moneyball approach to sports analytics or not, consistency is an important value coveted by every team and it's great news that Zarren is sticking with the C's. I love the idea of this unpaid intern Good Will Hunting-ing his way around the organization and nine years later, he's the go-to guy for statistical analysis, our salary cap expert, and lead in-house counsel.
