Brad Stevens Gets First Boston Celtics Win Over Former Protege Gordon Hayward

Winning feels a lot better than losing as Brad Stevens says. Facing the prospect of going 0-5 for the first time since the founding of the NBA in 1946, the Celtics held off a Jazz rally to secure their first win.

BOSTON -- With former Butler protege Gordon Hayward visiting, Brad Stevens was all smiles before the game. But he was even happier afterwards, as his Celtics got their first win of the season with a 97-87 victory over the Utah Jazz. Brandon Bass led the C's with 20 points while Gerald Wallace grabbed nine rebounds in a "7th man" role as he reluctantly called it. The Garden Report kicks off part 1 with an extended break down of the win and the status of the team now that they have gotten the ball rolling.
