Celtics sign Shavlik Randolph to 10 day contract

The Celtics added some more size by signing Shavlik Randolph today. The 6'10" PF out of Duke has played for 4 other NBA teams in his career (if you include 5 preseason games with the Wizards this year).

After receiving letter of clearance from the Chinese Basketball Association on Friday morning, forward Shavlik Randolph has signed a 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics, agent Joel Bell told RealGM. Randolph had already arrived in Boston, where he and the Celtics were waiting on clearance. The 29-year-old is participating in the Celtics’ morning shootaround Friday.

Not sure what this means in relation to Terrence Williams' 10 day renewal status, but the Celtics did have a 15th roster spot open in addition, so there was room for them both.
