Pinched nerve? What pinched nerve? Paul Pierce took it at the Warriors early and often. I was particularly impressed with his relentless work in the paint, which made life easier for everyone elsewhere.
Making life hard for the Warriors was the Pit Bull duo of Avery Bradley and Courtney Lee. They had help as well, as everyone seemed to be creating deflections and turnovers. Curry still got his 25, but it wasn't easy (he was just 6 of 22 on this night).
Oh yeah, and Jeff Green showed up tonight, which is always nice. Perhaps that scary fall on his left side shook some aggression out of him. Just don't make a habit out of it Jeff, we don't need any more injuries.
Speaking of showing up, just 5 minutes for Crawford, one minute for Williams and 2 DNP-CDs for White and Randolph (which is understandable since they just got here). For all the attention we give the new guys, they don't seem to matter too much on game day just yet. Time will tell though. They'll have more time to learn the system in the next few days and the team didn't exactly need rest after so many days off.
Good solid win. I'll take it.
