Pit Bull Celtics want revenge on the Cats

So the Pit Bulls are foaming at the mouth for a little cat snack.

USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Bobcats are the worst team in the league. They will most likely finish the year with the most lottery ping pong balls. They currently only have 14 wins on the year. Yet two of those wins (or 14% if you wish) came against our 35 win Celtics. This makes no sense at all.

I suppose there are some excuses for two losses. One was the 2nd night of a back to back after a triple overtime game against Denver. The other was without Paul Pierce in what was clearly a let-down game. But either way, they lost to the worst team in the league twice. That shouldn't happen.

"No matter what our excuses are, they beat us two games," the coach said. "One game they beat us soundly, and one game we kind of sputtered down the stretch. And no matter what you say to them, they’ve beaten us twice. They are going to have great confidence against us."

Pierce tried to downplay the revenge factor, saying that they aren't like a playoff rival or anything. But Courtney Lee at least seems to want his pound of flesh.

"Of course there's extra motivation," Lee said. "We lost to them pretty bad at their spot, they were laughing, they enjoyed it, so we've got to make sure we take care of home court and we'll return that favor to them."

I can't find the exact quote, but Avery Bradley also referenced the Gerald Henderson 35 point game and said something like "that won't happen again."

You can't count on anything in this league, but I have a strong feeling that the Celtics will be "up" for this one. Especially since it is at home. Hoping to see more Shavlik, White, and Gino tonight.
