With a double digit lead, the Celtics were looking good in the first half. But things fell apart in the 2nd half and the Hornets pulled off the upset win.
So let me get this straight. We almost beat the Heat without Kevin Garnett then we go out and lose to the Hornets/Pelicans with him? Yeah, that makes all the sense in the world. I like our chances against the 72 win Bulls but I'm sure we'd lose to the 2012 Bobcats (oddly enough, both involve Michael Jordan). Another bi-polar day for a bi-polar team.
Green Street » Stung again: Celtics blow 13-point second-half lead, lose to lowly Hornets
Anthony Davis – the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft – tipped in the go-ahead basket with 0.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter to allow the Hornets to nip the Celtics, 87-86, Wednesday night in New Orleans. The Hornets were able to sweep the season series with the Celtics this season. The Celtics could managed just 31 points in the second half and lost their second straight, with road games in Dallas and Memphis on tap for Friday and Saturday nights.
