Celtics will only participate in Orlando Summer League

Last year the did both Vegas and Orlando. This year they'll skip Vegas.

Revisiting the Rondo impact | Boston Herald

It made sense for the C’s to get in all the work they could last summer, in that they had three new draft picks — Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo and Kris Joseph — and were coming off a lockout-shortened season that didn’t allow them to work in the summer of 2011 with that year’s picks, JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore. As for choosing Orlando over Vegas, the former is a little more low-key — and it’s the home of coach Doc Rivers.

Kind of odd and kind of sad that none of those players listed above is playing and contributing to this team right now. That's not what I would have predicted a year ago and speaks to the unpredictability of this game. Still, Moore was sent as part of a package for Courtney Lee and he's established himself as a good rotation player for this team. So there's that.

Hopefully next year will mean good health for Sully and further development for Fab Melo. Sully has nothing left to prove in the summer league and will be better served using that time to continue his rehab. Melo will be the one to watch closely in Orlando.

They'll most likely be joined by Terrence Williams, DJ White, and Shavlik Randolph and whomever the Celtics draft in the first round. Or maybe none of that will happen and everything will be turned upside down on draft night. Who knows?
