We've missed you big guy. Like, a lot. Don't retire. Ever.

At last, Kevin Garnett may be ready to get back to playing.

A team source said that forward Kevin Garnett, who missed his seventh consecutive game with inflammation in his left ankle, is expected to return to action Friday against the Cavaliers. "Yeah, I guess. I don’t even know," Rivers said when asked if Garnett would play this week. "Honestly, I haven’t asked one question about it." The initial prognosis, made by the team March 25, was that Garnett would miss two weeks. "Whatever it is, it’s probably coming up and he’ll play," Rivers said of Garnett’s timeframe for a possible return.

Doc: KG will play soon - Boston Celtics Blog - ESPN Boston

"He’ll play soon," Rivers said Thursday during his weekly appearance on Boston sports radio station WEEI. "He’ll play -- I don’t know if he’ll play Friday -- but I think he’ll be playing pretty soon."

Hopefully he's all healed up and ready to get back in the swing of things. Personally I'd be fine with him taking a few more games off, but he will need some time to establish his rhythm heading into the playoffs. Plus Doc will get to set his rotation a bit more.

Regardless, it will be great seeing him back out there.
