Looks like the Celtics might have been the first to blink. Wojo reports.
Celtics, Clippers resume push to get Kevin Garnett-Doc Rivers deal done - Yahoo! Sports
The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers are discussing possible compromises to including guard Eric Bledsoe into the Kevin Garnett-Doc Rivers deal with hopes of completing an agreement on Monday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
What other compromises would be involved besides Bledsoe? An additional pick? Dumping salaries? Is that enough in return? We'll see I guess.
If this is the end, even if we knew the end was coming, it doesn't make it feel any better.
Specifics dodgy at this point. What I know: Talks warming up. KG, PP now in proposall. #Celtic owners fine w/not paying Doc $7M to rebuild.

Second source confirms #Celtics, #Clippers' progress… Eric Bledsoe not in it. Neither is Paul Pierce. LAC would wait for C's to buy him out

Rivers and Garnett-to-L.A. hits another snag | Comcast SportsNet - CSNNE.com
Now it appears the snafu stems around the Clippers not wanting to take back the contract of either Jason Terry or Courtney Lee. Boston is open to not including Bledsoe, but only if the Clippers accept either Terry or Lee's contracts. "Still at it" was how someone close to negotiations described the state of matters this afternoon.

And don't expect the Celtics to waive Pierce just to see him sign with the Clippers during free agency. If they decide to trade Pierce, and NBA sources said the team is open to the possibility, they want a return for his services unless waiving him will allow him enough salary cap space to sign a solid free agent.
