For Doc's sake, I hope he gets final decision authority on trades as the acting GM.
#Clippers were pondering whether to offer the #Celtics a protected first-round pick in 2015. #Celtics prefer 1st-round pick in '14 draft.

Again, #Clippers certain to offer #Celtics next week's No. 1 (No. 25 pick) or in 2015. No way will LAC part with pick in hot 2014 draft.

Update:
Sources: Clippers, Celtics work on Rivers deal | Comcast SportsNet - CSNNE.com
Two NBA sources told CSNNE.com that the Clippers were giving serious thought over the weekend to offering the Celtics a protected first-round pick in 2015, as compensation for Rivers. However, the Celtics' preference was for a first-round pick in next year's draft, which is expected to be among the most star-studded since the 2003 class which produced superstars like LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. The two teams are expected to spend today working out the details of the deal, and send it to the league office on Monday for approval. Another league source indicated that if the Rivers-to-the-Clippers deal goes through, talks will resume between the two sides in a separate trade that would ultimately send Kevin Garnett to the Clippers as well.
