Celtics Summer League roster is filling out

This is our new playoffs people.

This is a day late but you'll have to forgive me since I was celebrating my birthday yesterday and I'm playing catchup now.

In addition to last year's rookie center, Fab Melo, 2013 first round pick Kelly Olynyk, and second rounder Colton Iverson, a seven-footer from Colorado State, the Celtics have signed Missouri point guard Phil Pressey to a free agent contract. The team will only have a short time with Iverson, who reportedly plans to play in Europe next year, though the Celtics hold his rights. The team also lined up the following free agents for the trip to Orlando - guard Darius Johnson Odom (Marquette), forward Tony Mitchell, who averaged 30 points for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants last season and was named the NBADL's rookie of the year, forward Lawrence Hill (Stanford, Israel), forward Tim Abromaitis (Notre Dame), forward Courtney Fells (NC State, Israel) and point guard Jason Granger (Spain).

Interesting that Iverson will be spending next year overseas. Also, Murphy notes that several other big men were lined up to play with the Celtics but backed out when they saw the C's pick two centers that would play a lot along with Fab Melo.

So who are you most interested in watching? It is a guard league, so while our headliners will be Melo and Olynyk, I wouldn't put it past Pressey to turn some heads. Also, it sounds like Tony Mitchell can score against this level of competition, so bet on a lot of shots from him.

Note: Summer league will take place staring July 7th, which is before the magic July 10th date that the Nets trade will likely take place. So I don't think the Celtics will get to see Kris Joseph up close till training camp.
