Celtic Heart

Folks, rebuilding year or not, I think Danny has assembled players with some heart. I really don't care if we go 32-50 or 50-32, I believe strongly this team is going to be balls out, and a team that is fun to watch. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking rebuilding, draft picks, young team, potential.

But with Stevens rolling out Sullinger, Bradley, Green, Rondo and crew, against a bunch of teams that are playing for highlight reels and stat sheets, I think we going to see plenty of Ws.

We are small, and have a lot of question marks. But I think the current team is the kind you want to get behind, not one where you are just waiting for the next shoe to fall. After the H-Bomb, my sports priorities have migrated to players I like to watch and also like my kids to watch. Lame, maybe. Doomed for failure in an era of PEDs and Scott Boras Bullcrap, sure. But only one team wins the championship, and that isn't going to be the Green for at least the next few years. I don't want to be rooting for questionable characters.

Before we go all doom and gloom on this season, I'd like to thank Ainge for assembling a group of athletes I feel good telling my kids to root for. I'm sure Jared Sullinger, Jeff Green, Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynk are not saints. They all seem like they are committed to winning though, and to do so without ending up on the front page for the wrong reason.

This team has heart and is likeable, and I'm going to enjoy watching them. I hope they win 50, but I'm really fine with 32 because I think they are going to bleed green all season getting every win that is possible. That's what I signed up for...not some bandwagon when the going was easy.
