If you were hoping that the Celtics were going to use the space created by cutting Donte Greene to bring in an NBA veteran at a minimum deal, you might be disappointed with this news.
Source: Barring any late changes, Celtics training camp roster is set. Invites: Chris Babb, Damen Bell-Holter, DeShawn Sims, Kammron Taylor.

Then again, if you expected the team to play it safe, and look for diamonds in the rough (sorry, I've been watching a lot of Disney movies lately), then this makes perfect sense. They might sign one of these guys to a minimum deal out of camp, but they also stay under the luxury tax and keep a spot open in case any trades pop up in the coming weeks before the season.
I still think we have an unbalanced roster that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense at the moment, but they aren't competing for Championship this year anyway, so I guess this squad is built to develop young talent and trade assets.
