Rajon Rondo is the most interesting guard in the world. He questions everything, including medical diagnosis apparently.
Rondo doesn't rule out Opening Night return | Comcast SportsNet - CSNNE.com
"Hopefully I won't miss any games this year," Rondo said in an exclusive interview with CSNNE's Mike Gorman. "Lord willing I heal correctly and I'll be back in no time. "They're telling me 6-to-8 [weeks]. But that means nothing to me."
If Rajon is suiting up for opening night then I'll be pretty surprised and more than a little concerned. If memory serves, Kevin Love returned quickly from a similar injury once and then re-injured it and was ruled out for the rest of the year (this was later in the season).
But fear not, Danny Ainge and the training staff won't let him rush back before he's ready.

At media day, Rondo said some doctors believe he could miss up to 10 weeks. As the point guard predicted he could return sooner, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge interjected: "We'll be very cautious with him."
So as with any injury, we will see when we see.
