The Celtics (as always) could use some help at the center spot. They've got a center on the roster who might be able to help if he ever gets healthy. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon.
The rehab of Vitor Faverani remains stalled. Asked about any progress from the second-year center, Stevens offered, "No increased activity." What's next for Faverani? "Zero idea. I don’t know. I talked to him [Sunday]. They have not given him any specific timeline." Faverani is rehabbing from a second knee surgery aimed at alleviating lingering pain and swelling following the first operation in March.
That doesn't really sound promising.
Well, if he never gets back on the court, he's always available as an expiring contract (team option for next season). So there's that.
