Boston Celtics will play preseason games in Italy and Spain next year

It is a long way away, but the Celtics are apparently lining up a trip overseas for next year's preseason.

Sources have confirmed the Celts are heading overseas again next fall, playing games in Italy and Spain. Some details are still being worked out, but the plan is for the Celtics to play against local competition, rather than NBA clubs, in both Milan and Madrid.

These things take a long time to coordinate, thus the release of the news now.

The more fun exercise might be to speculate on who might be playing for the Celtics at that point.  Then again, with a trade deadline and full offseason ahead of us, not to mention so many expiring contracts on the roster, the variables are simply endless.
