Marcus Smart won't travel and play in Atlanta

New, comments

The Celtics announced this afternoon that although a CT scan of Marcus Smart's ankle came up negative, he won't be available for tomorrow's game against the Hawks.

Outside of last night's debacle against the Spurs and the Celtics' trip to Memphis, Boston has been competitive in 5 of the 7 losses since Smart's injury on November 7th.  He wasn't exactly filling up the box score before spraining his ankle, but he provided a spark off the bench and lived up to his pre-draft reputation as a game changer.  After facing Atlanta tomorrow night, the team is at home on a back-to-back against the Pistons on Wednesday and then face the rival Lakers on Friday.
