Just saw James Young, back from his D-League stint. His right (non-shooting) arm in a sling. Will have more specifics later. #Celtics

The good news is, James Young has been shooting lights out down in Maine. Before getting hurt tonight, he was 5-for-7 from behind the arc with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and three assists through almost three quarters. He's averaging 22 PPG and shooting 22-for-48 from three over five games with the Red Claws. Here are his highlights from tonight:
What you won't see is how he suffered his "apparent shoulder injury." Click here for the moment it happens in the game. As he receives the outlet pass, he's side swiped by 245-pound Drew Gordon (Aaron Gordon's older brother). As far as I can tell, his right arm--he's a lefty, phew--hyper-extends into his body and it's possible that he suffered a shoulder sprain. He had suffered a left shoulder injury last season when he was a Kentucky Wildcat and was in a car accident this summer that limited his pre-draft workouts, causing him to slip to Boston at #17 in the draft.
Dwight Powell finished the night with 19 points and 9 rebounds.
