Rajon Rondo takes Kobe Bryant to breakfast then destroys him as Boston Celtics crush Los Angeles Lakers

Rondo showed Kobe his favorite breakfast spot. Then he showed him how kick butt like an "A-hole."

On the Garden Report, Jimmy Toscano and Julian Edlow joined Jared Weiss to break down the incredible connection between Rajon Rondo and Tyler Zeller Friday night and the breakfast connection between Rajon Rondo and Kobe Bryant.

The Garden Report's theme song is "Searchin" by Teddy Roxpin & J Wizzlez (Jared Weiss in High School).

Game story:

BOSTON – That Rajon Rondo to Tyler Zeller connection is looking pretty good right now. The Boston Celtics’ only legitimate center had his best game of the year, scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds en route to a 113-96 blowout victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. After collapsing over and over again, the Celtics held strong and won every quarter but the second.

Zeller has always had a knack for cleaning up under the rim, but his partnership with Rondo in the pick-and-roll truly flourished Friday evening against one of the worst defenses in the game. The third-year center recorded just his second 20 & 10 game of his career and reached 20 points for the first time as a Celtic.

After a down game for Rondo, he went back to looking like himself as he handed out 16 assists en route to a near triple-double. His matchup against Jeremy Lin and Ronnie Price for much of the game proved an easy one, as neither player could keep up with him in transition or in the half court. It was one of those games in which Rondo seemed to be able to sit back and orchestrate both sides, as the Celtics ran to his whim and the Lakers bent to his wave of the baton.

His +40 differential was the highest by a Celtics player all season. Whether it was great scouting or cerebral rejuvenation, Rondo was Neo-like in his command of the game. Agent Bill Duffy will certainly be holding onto this game tape when he makes the rounds with NBA GMs this summer.

In Kobe Bryant news, Kobe took a ton of shots Friday. He went 9-for-21 from the field for 22 points, but his -29 differential was 69 points lower than Rondo’s. Yes…hilarious.
