Rajon Rondo will continue to rest on back-to-backs

Team and Rondo taking it slowly.

Here's a little something for the folks that think that the Celtics are in danger of winning "too many" games down the stretch.  Of the remaining 19 games, there are 5 back-to-back games on the schedule and as of now, Rondo is still not playing on the back end of back-to-backs.

"If I was ready, I would play," Rondo said. "It’s a combination of things that bother me in the lower part of my body. My calves, my Achilles and then my knee. They affect me after games, and then I need the rest. I’m pretty sore when I wake up. My Achilles bother me the most when I get out of bed. Throughout the day it gets better, but I don’t want to overdo it."

I think no matter what your take is on "tanking," it is only wise to take things very cautiously with Rajon. Nobody wants to see a Derrick Rose situation happen - in particular during a mostly meaningless end of season stretch.
