Everyone on the staff is busy watching future Boston Celtics playing in March Madness instead of the current (and former) Celtics, so we're using the Twittersphere to recap tonight's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Boston couldn't stop Brooklyn and lost 114-98, dropping them to 23-47 on the season.
First Half
Bradley came down ugly on that ankle again. Looked like the same, right one. Walking to the locker room with trainer Ed Lacerte now.
— Jay King (@ByJayKing) March 21, 2014
Someone want to tell me that Avery Bradley isn't injury prone again? He's taping his ankles and still turning them. It's a chronic problem.
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) March 21, 2014
Avery Bradley went back to the locker room to get his right ankle re-taped but is now back on the bench and available to play.
— Boston Celtics (@celtics) March 21, 2014
On those last 2 FGAs by Avery Bradley, he didn't appear to have the same lift on the release. May take him a minute to warm the ankle up.
— A. Sherrod Blakely (@SherrodbCSN) March 21, 2014
Jeff Green slamma jamma bamma wamma, or something like that.
— Jay King (@ByJayKing) March 22, 2014
Cs trail 34-28 after 1Q: #Celtics: Green 10 pts. Rondo 4 pts, 6 ast. #Nets: Plumlee 8 pts. Johnson 8 pts, 2 ast
— A. Sherrod Blakely (@SherrodbCSN) March 22, 2014
Bradley is locked on 20 feet. Now has 15 in second quarter, including three jumpers from that range.
— Mark Murphy (@Murf56) March 22, 2014
Carmelo Anthony scored 45 points at Barclays Center on 12/11/2012. Will Avery Bradley top that? He has 20 right now with 6 mins till half.
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) March 22, 2014
Rajon Rondo just took the ball in transition and was fouled as he went up for a fast break dunk. He NEVER dunks. Knee must be feeling great.
— Marc D'Amico (@Marc_DAmico) March 22, 2014
Cs trail 64-54 at half.#Celtics: Bradley 23 pts. Seriously. He has 23 pts at the half. Rondo 8 ast: #Nets: Plumlee 14 pts. Pierce 9 pts.
— A. Sherrod Blakely (@SherrodbCSN) March 22, 2014
Yeah, AB's hot, but then there's these numbers: Nets 30pts, 50% FG, 3-for-6 threes, 14-6 pts in paint, 11-0 second-chance pts in 2nd qtr.
— Ben Watanabe (@BenjeeBallgame) March 22, 2014
Let's be real, the Nets would be spanking the Celtics if AB didn't get hot. They're playing the perfect game, but it's a make/miss league.
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) March 22, 2014
Rumor: at halftime, Danny Ainge got a text from Avery Bradley's agent - this is what it said: http://t.co/2sWV9W8Gt3

Third Quarter
The Nets just went on a 7-0 run to pull ahead of the Celtics 79-63. Brad Stevens calls for a TO. His defense is allowing too many open looks
— Marc D'Amico (@Marc_DAmico) March 22, 2014
#celtics defense has been beyond terrible of late, Joe Johnson with another 3-pointer and #nets lead 79-63 with 6:36 left in third.
— gary washburn (@GwashburnGlobe) March 22, 2014
Lord Mason Plumlee is dominating the paint he has 18 pts.We re despirate for rim protection.Nets are using screen and roll with 1/2
— Igor Mitic (@IL_NUMERO_UNO) March 22, 2014
Joe Johnson blows by Olynyk, and Brooklyn's shooting jumps back up to 60 percent (33-55).
— Mark Murphy (@Murf56) March 22, 2014
Joe Johnson just said to Avery Bradley, "this is my night," after he drained another three-pointer. 16 points in the 3rd. 27 total.
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) March 22, 2014
Joe Johnson just scored 16 points in the third Q to push the Nets ahead of the Celtics 92-76. He has 27, while Bradley's on his heels w/ 26.
— Boston Celtics (@celtics) March 22, 2014
Fourth Quarter
Sullinger has been weirdly quiet in a weirdly limited number of minutes tonight.
— Tom Westerholm (@Tom_NBA) March 22, 2014
Kelly Olynyk just fouled out of tonight's game. This is his third DQ of the season and his second in the month of March (both vs. the Nets).
— Marc D'Amico (@Marc_DAmico) March 22, 2014
sad trombone dot wav RT @RedsArmy_John: The Joel Anthony surrender flag has been raised
— CelticsBlog (@celticsblog) March 22, 2014
Avery Bradley in first half: 10-for-13, 23 points. In second half: 1-for-4, 3 points
— gary washburn (@GwashburnGlobe) March 22, 2014
Is Jason Collins vs. Joel Anthony the garbage time matchup of the year?
— Jay King (@ByJayKing) March 22, 2014
Sullinger 0-3 FG, 3 pts 4 rebs. Chris Johnson 0-2 1 reb w/2:30 left. Guess that Ohio State-Dayton game took a lot out of them.
— Steve Bulpett (@SteveBHoop) March 22, 2014
back at ya on draft night, every year RT @BaxterHolmes: Brooklyn fans chanting "Thank you Cel-tics!"
— CelticsBlog (@celticsblog) March 22, 2014
Just throwing this out there: Chris Babb should receive playing time over Chris Johnson. Better defensively, equally productive 3PT shooter.
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) March 22, 2014
The Nets down the Celtics 114-98 after shooting 56.4 % from the field, 52.9% from 3. Brooklyn scored 62 points in the paint to Boston's 30.
— Marc D'Amico (@Marc_DAmico) March 22, 2014
Boston's defense just allowed their second-highest eFG% of the season at 62.2%. The season-high is 63.2%, set by Houston on 11/19.
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) March 22, 2014
Brad Stevens on Boston's defense: "We didn't provide much resistance... We weren't very good at the defensive end."
