If there was a stat for it, the Boston Celtics probably would lead the league in "competitive losses," as they fell again tonight, 107-102. After keeping the game close through 48 minutes, the Celtics were unable to pull through, this time against the Chicago Bulls. D.J. Augustin led the way for Chicago with a career-high 33 points on 10-of-14 shooting.

What an entertaining game at @tdgarden! The Celtics trail the Bulls 51-50 at the half. Bayless/Green have 10 apiece. Augustin has 13 for CHI

The Celtics and Bulls each score 27 in the third quarter, leaving CHI with a 78-77 lead. Humphries leads the C's with 14 points and 8 rebs.

There have been a total of 39 assists in this game. 25% of them have come from Joakim Noah himself. #Celtics #Bulls

Nice hustle by Jerryd Bayless to get the loose ball... Thibs is disgusted! #celticstalk

Dunleavy just wanted to contribute to Noah's triple-double attempt
— Jason Patt (@Bulls_Jay) March 31, 2014
The Bulls began the fourth quarter on a 6-2 run to climb ahead 84-79, matching the largest lead of the game by either team.

Really impressed with the level that Joakim Noah has risen too. Has become the Bulls’ anchor
— Kris Willis (@Kris_Willis) March 31, 2014
Augustin is just toying with mere humans now.

Strong effort under the basket with two offensive rebounds to big #Celtics the lead has The Garden crowd on their feet! #celticstalk

On Sullinger covering Noah: "He just moved Noah out of the potential rebound position! WOW!"
— Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) March 31, 2014
Rondo has 14 pts w/5:18 left (C's trail CHI by 4). He's 5-7 on 2-pters and 1-5 on treys.
— Steve Bulpett (@SteveBHoop) March 31, 2014
Green scored 10 points in first quarter, none since. He just checked back in the game with 5:18 left.

Every time the game seems to be slipping away, Rondo hits a three.
— Jared Weiss (@CLNS_JaredWeiss) March 31, 2014
Green hits the trailing three on the break after a Sully chase down block. What the what?
— Jared Weiss (@CLNS_JaredWeiss) March 31, 2014
Stat Boston TV feed just showed: Noah leads the whole league in 4th quarter assists. Even w/ all the logical reasons, that still surprises.

Again, got to give it to #Celtics fans credit for being so into Game 72 of a lottery season. Sellout crowd of 18.624 erupts on Jeff Green 3.
— Scott Souza (@scott_souza) March 31, 2014
Augustin makes up for turnover with a three that deflates the Celtics.
— Jared Weiss (@CLNS_JaredWeiss) March 31, 2014
This really happened: D.J, Augustin hit a go-ahead 3-pointer and then strutted back to the bench talking trash to a #celtics fan. He has 27

Great Hustle By Green but Bone Head Foul
— Travis Singleton (@SneakerReporter) March 31, 2014
Olynyk's experience showing late in game. Some questionable passes that will improve over time.
— Jessica Camerato (@JCameratoNBA) March 31, 2014
Augustin nails both FTs in clutch, makes it a 5 point game with 35 sec left. 28 for DJ.
— Jared Weiss (@CLNS_JaredWeiss) March 31, 2014
Sully hits a three for a little redemption, but Cs are playing the foul game down 4 and will need a big choke to have a chance.
— Jared Weiss (@CLNS_JaredWeiss) March 31, 2014
Noah misses second FT and #Celtics are down 4 with 11.5 left. Another three and Cs can get last shot to tie.
— Jared Weiss (@CLNS_JaredWeiss) March 31, 2014
The Bulls pull out a 107-102 win over the Celtics. Neither team led by >7 points all night. Augustin scored a game-high 33. Rondo: 17 and 11

By the way, my heartfelt thanks for all the kind words from everyone today. #thankyou #10moreyears
