ESPN sources say Milwaukee Bucks are closing in on a deal with free-agent guard Jerryd Bayless

Not a surprise that the journeyman won't be continuing his career in Boston. After drafting Marcus Smart and James Young, acquiring Marcus Thornton via trade, re-signing Avery Bradley, and Phil Pressey's contract on the verge of being guaranteed for next season, Bayless was the odd man out. With the Bucks under the salary cap, it's unlikely that a sign-and-trade will be facilitated like the TPE that was generated after Kris Humphries was "sent" to Washington on a three-year deal. Bayless was a great late season addition last year as a part time point guard and off guard. It's surprising that this is his sixth team in six seasons. His time with the Celtics was short-lived, but he played with heart and easily shifted between roles. Milwaukee, you're getting a great veteran presence for your young team.
