Pacers have little on the fringes to entice Phoenix on Dragic.Their interest, per @ESPNSteinLine, might hint at bigger discussions.

Whispers are already out there, @ZachLowe_NBA, about Indy trying to pull in Boston to construct some sort of multi-team deal involving Rondo

Never reported or said this. Irresponsible RT @NBAFLASHNEWS: The Pacers are looking to acquire Rondo from the Celtics. (Via Zach Lowe)

Attention cut-and-paste feeds w/reading comprehension issues: Indy's target is Goran Dragic. That's what @ZachLowe_NBA and I were discussing
— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 3, 2014
This is how the world of Twitter rumors works: interest in another player (Goran Dragic) spurns a "whisper" about another player that plays the same position (Rajon Rondo) and then it's vehemently denied. Stein and Lowe are best in the business and let's chalk this up as a conversation between colleagues. Although Stein is kinda indirectly reporting that a three-team deal involving the Celtics and Rondo could be in play, it doesn't sound like it's nowhere near fruition. A Rondo-for-Roy-Hibbert could be interesting, but for now, let's Keep Calm & Rajon (always loved that t-shirt over at CelticsLife.com).
