Colton Iverson's dreams of playing in the NBA will have to wait at least one more year. He has agreed signed on with a team in Spain.
Colton Iverson, Boston Celtics' 2013 draft pick, signs with Spanish team Baskonia | masslive.com
Colton Iverson has signed a one-year deal with the Spanish team Baskonia, according to a Euroleague press release Tuesday morning. The Boston Celtics will still hold the 7-footer's NBA rights.
With the Tyler Zeller trade and an overloaded roster, Iverson probably saw the writing on the wall and decided to get a contract for next year. It is a one year deal and the Celtics still own his rights. So there's a good chance that he could eventually find a hope on this team next summer (especially with all the contracts set to expire at the end of the season). But for now he's still stashed overseas.
