Here are some quick tidbits from Rondo's interview with #CelticsTalk:
- When asked why he wants to be here long term, Rondo gave an easy answer, "The fans." He also said, "I'm a big believer in loyalty." It sounds like he really does envision a longterm future with the franchise, and the fan base plays a large role. If the fan base and organization remain loyal to Rondo, he sounds willing to stick around for the next phase of the Celtics rebuild.
- When asked why he thought this would be the best year of his career, Rondo responded, "Because I think I'll be the most disciplined and focused I've ever been in my career. Not just on the court, but off the court as well." It sounds as if Rondo is in a great state of mind. Hopefully that discipline and focus will help him lead by example on such a young Celtics squad.
