Pretty much as expected. For Boston, it does open up another roster spot and with Danny probably still looking to clear the deck of tradeable vets on expiring deals like Brandon Bass, Marcus Thornton, and Jameer Nelson, another slot could prove useful.

It is entirely possible, and perhaps even probable, that veteran forward Tayshaun Prince will wind up with a buyout from the Celtics. But a source close to the situation told Sporting News on Tuesday evening that there have been "no substantive conversations" yet about such an arrangement.
