The work of a scouting GM never ends and Danny Ainge and his staff will always keep their eyes out on the next guy that could be a find. Apparently they have their eyes on a guy named DeAndre Kane.
As an intriguing prospect in Europe, the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz are keeping tabs on undrafted Iowa State guard DeAndre Kane, league sources told RealGM. Kane, a rookie, has averaged 14 points, 5.7 rebounds and five assists in the EuroChallenge for Antwerp in Belgium. Although his deal with the club is expected to run through the remainder of the NBA’s regular season, Kane will likely be a free-agent workout candidate and summer league participant for those NBA teams interested.
If the Celtics make some trades at the deadline and end up with open roster spots, Kane might be an option to bring in for the remainder of the year and leading into summer league and training camp.
