Lee fills up the box score as Celtics defeat Milano 124-91 in preseason opener

Go Celtics!

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Celtics defeated Olimpia Milano 124-91 in their first preseason game. Isaiah Thomas led the team with 18 points on 10 shots.

The Veterans

David Lee was impactful in 21 minutes of play, with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Amir Johnson played effective defense while offering the highlight of the day with an alley-oop dunk.

Avery Bradley was on fire from downtown, hitting 4 triples on his way to 14-points.

He might not have lost as much weight as fans would've liked, but Jared Sullinger looked more agile on his way to 14 points.

The Kids

R.J. Hunter was the first rookie to come off the bench and excelled on both ends of the floor. Hunter made high IQ plays on defense and veteran types of passes on offense. Hunter is clearly ahead of the other young shooting guard on the depth chart.

Terry Rozier looked also impressed on both ends, scoring 9 points. Rozier brings energy to the floor and could carve out minutes in a change-of-pace role.

Jordan Mickey played only 6:35 minutes but stood out in his limited time. Mickey had 7 points and 3 rebounds, and if injuries force him into a role, he may be able to hold his own.

The Celtics will play Real Madrid on Thursday at 3 PM EST.
