Celtics fumble, fall to Heat 83 - 75

Offsides on the offense.

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

After a rather sloppy first half, the Celtics found some rhythm in the 2nd half but it wasn't enough to top the Miami Heat. The Celtics finished with their lowest scoring output of the year at just 75 points.

Avery Bradley and Tyler Zeller each had 17 points and Brandon Bass added 15, but nobody else cracked double figures and the team as a whole struggled to get points on the board.

Marcus Smart got extended minutes and finished with a career high 9 assists.

James "3Pac" Young found his way onto the court in the first half for 8 minutes but not after the break.  He hit one 2 point jumper and finished with 3 points and 2 rebounds.

Interestingly Tayshaun Prince did not play at all.  I haven't heard about him being injured so we'll have to keep our eyes open for a potential trade. UPDATE: Turns out that Prince had a hip flexor injury that he told Stevens about just before the game. Otherwise he would have played.

Apparently Jared Sullinger was late to shootaround and played with the 2nd unit as punishment.

Hassan "Found Money" Whiteside lived up to his recent hype, finishing with 20 points, 9 boards, and 3 blocked shots.

Overall not the best game for the guys in green.  Must be the horrible sleeved uniforms.  We'll go with that.
