Here's an interesting rumor that only tangentially has to do with the Celtics. KG going back to Minny?
Minnesota Timberwolves interested in re-acquiring Kevin Garnett - ESPN
The Minnesota Timberwolves are making an 11th-hour push before Thursday's trade deadline to try to reacquire Wolves legend Kevin Garnett in a swap that would send Thaddeus Young to Brooklyn, ESPN.com has learned. Sources told ESPN.com the sides have engaged in serious discussions on the deal, which would ultimately require Garnett's approval even if the teams agree before Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline, since Garnett possesses one of the NBA's six full no-trade clauses.
That would be something. KG hates change (HATES it) and is hyper-competitive, so taking him out of an Eastern Conference "race" (if you can call it that) and putting him on a rebuilding team to be Old Man Winter to the young pups is going to be a hard sell. But if anyone can do it, it would be Saunders.
Besides, KG has to be looking toward his future at some point. In fact...
But even if this trade doesn't come to fruition, KG has already made it clear (through @SpearsNBAYahoo) that he hopes to BUY Wolves someday

Should be an interesting one to track today.
Update:
Sparse trade market for Kevin Garnett--who has a no-trade clause--and with KG not pushing for a buyout, expect him in BK the rest of the way

'Wolves make some sense for KG, as ESPN reported, but sense in Brooklyn is that he would not waive his no-trade to go back there now.
