I guess at this point it doesn't really matter since Kendrick Perkins hasn't been a Celtic for a long time and the Celtics haven't played a playoff game against LeBron James in a long time. Still, it seems odd that the two would team up in Cleveland.
Former Celtics center Kendrick Perkins had his contract bought out by the Utah Jazz on Saturday and will soon sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Perkins strongly considered the Los Angeles Clippers, too. For the Cavaliers, Perkins will be a backup center to Timofy Mozgov. Perkins’ talents have diminished in the past few years, but his toughness and leadership still makes him a valued presence in contending locker rooms. Perkins has played 13 NBA seasons, including eight with the Boston Celtics and five with the Thunder.
