The Celtics have lost three games in a row and really could use the dynamic Isaiah Thomas right about now. They won't have him for a few more days, but he may be coming back soon.
The new hope for Thomas is that he might be able to return to the court Wednesday night at TD Garden against the Miami Heat. Thomas injured his back and elbow when Dwyane Wade knocked him to the floor during a drive in the fourth quarter against the Heat in Miami on March 9. "Isaiah did more today," Stevens said. "It’s feeling a little bit better. Now our goal, or target, is mid- to late-week — but probably not the next two days."
That would be welcome news indeed. The right thing to do is always to be cautious with injuries and I'm sure Thomas would love to be out there helping his new team fight through these struggles. But hopefully he'll be back soon and we can see this team make a final push for the playoffs.
