With the 16th pick in the CelticsBlog community mock draft, the Boston Celtics select...Sam Dekker.
Dekker fits nicely as a do-it-all wing player. He's got size and athleticism, which allows him to play and defend multiple positions. However, he's got a few red flags. Dekker struggled with consistency at Wisconsin. He would have more off nights than on nights. However, he is one of the best available as this point and fits a need for the Celtics. You can read more about Sam Dekker and his fit here.
Next are the Milwaukee Bucks: worst in the league one year, playoff team the next. The Bucks surprised the league when it reached the playoffs despite losing Jabari Parker for most of the season. It's hard to say whether this was due to the East's mediocrity or that the Bucks were actually good. Nevertheless, they made it and they have a solid, young core moving forward.
The Bucks recently traded Ersan Ilyasova, so there seems to be an opening in their lackluster front court. Trey Lyles' name has been tossed around here, same with Kevon Looney. Then again, Milwaukee may be in need of a 3-and-D guard. Khris Middleton may not be a Buck next year and I don't think Jason Kidd wants MCW carrying the shooting load in the backcourt.
Who would you pick?
