With the 19th pick in the CelticsBlog community mock draft, the Washington Wizards select...Kevon Looney.
With Looney, the Wizards are getting versatility. Looney can shoot the three ball, defend multiple positions, rebound, and run the pick and pop. His length allows him to grab rebounds, especially on offense. At UCLA, Looney was a valuable offensive rebounder who always looks to grab one off the board. The Wizards have an evident need at power forward, so Looney may be the best option at this point.
Up next is a team that was swept by the Wizards: the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are in the midst of a re-brand: new logo, new motto, Drake. This Raptors team has a solid young core in Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, so they seem to be set in their backcourt. What the Raptors need is another front court player. Amir Johnson and Tyler Hansbrough are free agents this summer, so they could be potentially losing two decent big guys. There aren't too many dominant big men left in this mock draft, but some fit the mold of Masai Ujiri's roster. Ujiri has a thing for hard-nosed players, so Montrezl Harrell could be a potential pick here. Harrell is an energetic player who fights through every possession. The Raptors could go with a 3-and-D guy. Justin Anderson hasn't been taken yet and he seems to be climbing draft boards.
Who would you pick?
