2015 NBA Draft: Sixers plan on keeping Okafor, will not trade with Celtics

The Philadelphia 76ers have selected Jahlil Okafor with the 3rd overall pick.  They had their sights set on D'Angelo Russell, who was taken by the Lakers just one pick before.

The Celtics have been involved in trade discussions with the 76ers in case Okafor dropped to them.  One offer included Marcus Smart, Kelly Olynyk, and the 16th pick, the 76ers declined.  Speculation over a trade was put to rest after Woj dropped one of his bombs:

For now, the Sixers plan to keep Okafor -- not trade him, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

The Celtics are still looking to make a deal, but Jahlil is off the table.
