NBA Mock Draft: CelticsBlog community mock draft: Pick 9

With the 8th pick in the CelticsBlog community mock draft, the Detroit Pistons select...Mario Hezonja.

The Detroit Pistons may lose Greg Monroe in free agency, but they could see Hezonja as a future franchise player.  Hezonja is always putting in his best effort, and it is evident in his aggressive play style.  The Pistons are adding a versatile offensive player with phenomenal size.  He can shoot, he can drive, and he most definitely can dunk the ball.

The 9th goes to the Charlotte Hornets, who I did not expect would have this early of a pick.  The Hornets had playoff aspirations before the season.  After all, they were a 43-win team the year before.  They were a new team, new jersey, new brand, and they added Lance Stephenson.  The 2015 season for the new Hornets were a disaster from the start, as they started December with a 4-15 record.  Stephenson wasn't living up to his hype, and nothing clicked on the court.  Now the Hornets are looking to find a way back to the postseason, and they seem interested in a three point shooter being that they came in dead last in 3PT%.
