With the 9th pick in the CelticsBlog community mock draft, the Charlotte Hornets select...Stanley Johnson
So the Hornets get another wing defender and solid rotation player for the future. Seems like they've got a whole team of those.
Next up are the Miami Heat, the post LeBron years. Pat Riley isn't one to go through long, patient, rebuilds, and he's bolstered his squad by dealing picks for the right to (in theory) re-sign Goran Dragic. They better hope that Wade decides to stick around and that Chris Bosh can fully recover if they want to go deep in the playoffs next year. But they do have a lottery pick to use this year, and that could be used to add some depth and perhaps even a guy that could step into a bigger role sooner or later.
On our big board there's at least one guy that could step in and help immediately. Frank Kaminsky comes to mind with his already-developed offensive game that seems to be geared toward the modern NBA.
Or if they want to roll the dice on a guy that could take a few years to develop, maybe Myles Turner or Devin Booker could make some sense here. You make the call.
