The Celtics are a deep team, but that depth has been stretched thin with two of their best bench players on the shelf for the start of the season. The second unit has struggled at times, and they could really use guys like Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk.
Thankfully it sounds like both are making good progress.
Kelly Olynyk seems about 2 weeks away.

Meanwhile, Marcus Smart could be back any day now.
Smart (left ankle sprain) is not on the trip, but he’s very close to returning.
“He’s improving,” said Stevens. “I don’t have the exact return date, but we’ll be off (today) and I anticipate he’ll at least go through some of (tomorrow’s) practice. I don’t know if he’ll be live. I don’t know if he’ll be ready to go by Wednesday or not.”
Get well soon guys. The team needs you.
