Bucks, Celtics considering Kris Middleton/Greg Monroe deal

Things are heating up.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Per Racine Journal Times' Gary Woelfel, Boston and Milwaukee are still considering a trade to send Kris Middleton to the Celtics. However, it's not for the #3 pick:

One of the trade scenarios, a source said, is packaging Middleton with veteran center Greg Monroe, whom the Bucks have been seriously shopping. It is known the Celtics have had interest in Monroe for a long time.

In return for Middleton and Monroe, the Bucks could possibly acquire two first-round picks from the Celtics in today's draft: Nos. 16 and 23, along with another player.

Middleton is a good fit for Brad Stevens' style of play. He's a two-way player that immediately fills a need as a scoring wing. Monroe may not be the stretch big that Boston is looking for, but he slots in as a decent rebounder and an established scorer on the block. Both players signed contracts last summer. Monroe has one more year $17M with a player option, and Middleton has three more years at $42M with a player option.
