The Celtics have renounced Jared Sullinger's qualifying offer and free-agent exception rights. The news was first announced on the NBA transaction wire, but it went unnoticed over the past few days. A source confirmed to CelticsBlog's own Kevin O'Connor that the report is indeed accurate.

Real GM's Keith Smith first noticed the note on the transaction wire.
What does this all mean for Sullinger?
Well, it probably signals the end of his time with the Celtics. But it's not necessarily the end, since it depends on the other moves they make.
But it does make it easier for him to find a new home as an unrestricted free agent. It'll make it easier for teams to sign him outright instead of going through the restricted free agency process.
If Sullinger's time is done with the Boston Celtics, we wish him the best!
